BurgerBaron Stock & Profit

A recipe-costing and stock back-office for a burger kitchen, picking a recipe and it computes a live bill of materials, margin and food-cost %, while purchases, stock and messy POS sales all reconcile behind the scenes.

The challenge

Nobody knew the real cost of a burger.

Ingredient prices drift, recipes change, and POS product names never match the recipe list. Working out the actual food cost and margin of each item, and keeping stock honest, was guesswork done after closing.

What it does

The moving parts.

Technical stack

How it's built.

Google Sheets
The front end, modals for every action, recipe views, and the live costing sheet.
Apps Script
UI only: opens the dialogs and proxies every write to n8n, no business logic in the sheet.
n8n
Owns all the writes and calculations behind the webhooks, including ingredients, recipes, stock, aliases, sauce batches.

How it fits together

How the pieces connect.

The sheet is only the face, where every calculation and write happens in n8n behind a webhook. No sensitive details, just the wiring.
